A STORY OF A LOVE THAT NEVER WAS! PART 1

A LOVE STORY THAT NEVER WAS!
-- a short story --
PART 1

Introducing And The Coming Of Aruyanii

(The names have been changed to protect both the innocent and the guilty. If this story , is, in any way similar to a situation you know, it in merely coincidental but intentional. My apologies to any affected)

This story has been inspired by a situation. Everything else is just my imagination.. It all happened in a University in Kuala Lumpur.. Although it is a common enough story, but the International element has made it slightly more appealing and different (to me, anyway.). Okay let’s begin the tale of the love that never was…….

A young Japanese woman, Aruyani, had arrived at the KLIA on a fine Sunday morning. She was a fine Arts graduate from Aino University in Osaka.. After a prolonged discussion with her parents, she finally enrolled in a Malaysian Branch Campus of Tokyo University of the Arts ( Tōkyō Geijutsu Daigaku) or Geidai which is one of the oldest and most prestigious art schools in Japan.

She was as excited as anyone coming to a foreign land. It does not matter whether you are coming as a student, tourist or on a business trip. The excitement of the unknown will always be there.

Whilst waiting for the Students’ Department official to come to fetch her to the hostel, Aruyani caught a glimpse of herself in a glass of a shop-window. She adjusted her spectacles bend her head sideway and gave herself a subtle smile. Then she swung her head and tossed her long hair in a carefree way and told herself that she would really be looking forward to her two-year stay in sunny Malaysia.

Now, Aruyani is a carefree person who loves life and everything nice. She, by nature is a friendly person, always with a ready sunny smile to make anybody’s day! This infectious smile has always been welcomed wherever she goes.

While waiting for the Official to arrive, she found a quiet corner in the arrival lounge, sat down, took out her note pad and black-inked roller pen , and started doodling. This is a habit which she developed since she was a little girl. In fact it is this habit that inspired to do her degree in fine arts.

With ease the various characters which she created through her hands, came alive. Somehow, the eyes seemed so real, the expressions so human, the hairs so soft, the character so life-like. Such was her talent!

Anyway within the next hours, Aruyani soon found herself settling in her comfortable condominium. But little does she realized what was in store for her .......

(Look out for the Part 2 of this short story. Hmmmmm a short story with Part 2 ? How short is this story ? –Find out yourself because I am also watching the life version………..)
