First, I apologise to Nano Life for putting my comments on his posting here in my blog.

The word , “skinhead” has been so used by Malay youngsters in particular, with a stupid sense of pride (?) and glory (?) that they even copy their dressing, attitude and behavior.You will understand why I sound so sickened when you read further.

“Skinheads” are recognized by their short-cropped hair, tight leather jeans and pierced lips and  nose, other various facial piercings and tattoos.

Lack of knowledge and ignorance have led our gullible youngsters to idolize these people without knowing their philosophy (yes, they do have their strong beliefs – a belief we should not even consider , let alone be a part of!).

I mean, take a walk along Bukit Bintang on Saturday afternoons , and you'll see these young malay early teenagers strutting about in their gear aping their western 'idols'. True , they are young, but western tourists must be wondering just what the hell these youngsters are doing !

I had had some pretty bad experiences with western skinheads during my student days. I remember being confronted by three of them while I was cycling home from the University one late evening.  The dirty names they called you were enough to make you want to get them . And I did. I was so furious that I got off my bicycle, called them by the same names , hurled my bicycle at them ( Don't know where I got the strength--must be my anger) and used my fingers to signal to them to "come and get me ".

And like the 'pariah' they are, they decided to turn around and ran away.  Maybe since there were only three of them and only ONE of me, they felt thats not enough to 'teach me a lesson.'
