Do you know that in our midst, we have a lecturer who is doing 37 hours a week? The average load is 20 – 24 hours per week.
Doing 24 – 29 hours is desperate level as it doesn’t really leave much for the lecturer to cope with the marking and preparation.
Doing 30 – 33 hours is critical. There are times when you don’t know whether you’re coming or going.
33 -36 hours ---I just cannot imagine –and I don’t want to !
37 HOURS? -- THAT IS NOT OVER-LOAD BUT OVER-FLOW. –TO THE BRINK OF SUICIDAL!
